Daniel has over 35 years in the construction industry. Dan has 14 Years as a carpenter and construction superintendent in commercial and residential apartment construction. In 1973 he joined the County of Sacramento Building Inspection Department and became a Combination Residential Inspector, Supervising Structural Inspector- doing Plan Review and Field Inspections-In 2001 left the County and pursued a career in the private industry as a plans examiner, field inspector and access specialist. In 2003 he started his own business providing ADA and California T-24 Accessibility surveys to local Architectural firms and small business managers and owners. Duties included plan review and site verification for compliance with Federal ADA and California Disabled Access regulations. The majority of the surveys provided have been to various local State of California agencies that occupy privately owned buildings within the Cities and Counties of California.
Daniel is an Adjunct Professor at Cosumnes River College providing education on building code related subjects such as "Introduction to the International Building Codes", "Fire & Life Safety Provisions" under the IBC and "Introduction to Disabled Access Codes and Regulations". He has also provided instruction on Disabled Access for Sacramento Valley Association of Building Officials, California Building Officials and various ICC Chapters located in California, Nevada and Utah.
Daniel currently is a Professional Member of ICC, Past President of Sacramento Valley Association of Building Officials, A professional member CALBO and has worked and authored numerous Building codes for both ICC and State Building Code Regulations. Daniel currently participates in the SWABO'S Code Review and Development Committee and CALB's Disabled access committee which review and suggest modifications various proposed building and access codes.
